Meet the team
Editor: Paul McGuinness
As the editor of BBC Wildlife, I’m lucky to spend my days with a talented team of knowledgeable and passionate wildlife fanatics.
This only serves to make me even more keen to seek out wildlife wherever I can. So when I’m not in the office, I can mostly be found out and about somewhere with my son looking to see what creatures and plants we can discover.
Managing editor: Sarah McPherson
I work with Paul to commission features.
When not in work, or cheering on my sons from the side of a pitch, I enjoy long walks and trips to the coast.
Production editor: Catherine Mossop
I am responsible for managing the production of both our print and digital issues each month. A major aspect of my role is sub-editing every page of the magazine to ensure the content is accessible, engaging and factually correct. Away from my desk, I enjoy exploring the Somerset countryside and visiting the Cornish coast as often as I can.
Picture & video editor: Tom Gilks
In 2016 I took up the role as picture editor on BBC Wildlife Magazine. I’m responsible for showcasing the strongest, most innovative and compelling wildlife images. Over the years, I’ve developed relationships with photographers all over the globe. I enjoy working with a rosta of experienced and very talented photographers; however I’m also constantly on the lookout for new visual storytellers.
Digital editor: Debbie Graham
Debbie is the Group Digital Editor of discoverwildlife.com and our sister title countryfile.com. Former veterinary nurse Debbie is passionate about animals and the countryside.
