Whiptail Lizards are the North American relative of the larger South American Tegu. Some populations of these lizards are all female. The females will still perform the act of sexual reproduction and stimulate egg development. This species is the Gila Spotted Whiptail (Aspidoscelis flagellicauda/sonorae).
