A man in Australia has shared the wonderful moment a bundle of cute baby sea turtles burst from their nest.
“This is what a turtle eruption looks like,” says Andrew Lomakin on Instagram. “Wait till the end for some cuteness overload!”
Lomakin captured the adorable footage of the green turtles hatching on Heron Island in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. Several weeks before, he had watched the mothers come up the beach to lay their eggs. The incubation period of green turtle eggs is around 60 days.
These little ones have many challenges ahead of them. “Hatchlings have a survival rate of about one in 2,000!” Lomakin adds.
