Mike Dilger is an English naturalist, author and television presenter and has featured on the One Show as a wildlife presenter since 2007 as well as Inside Out since 2004.
During his time working across the world, Mike Dilger became fluent in Spanish and has a working understanding of Swahili and Vietnamese.

Where did he grow up?
Bike Dilger was born in Stafford in the West Midlands where he also grew up. As a child, he was a keen stamp collector and trainspotter, before an interest in birds was hatched after receiving Birds in Colour book by Bruce Campbell
Where did he study?
Mike Dilger first studied at the University of Nottingham where he attained an undergraduate degree in botany and then went on to complete a Master’s Degree at the University College of North Wales (which has since been renamed Bangor University).
What was his first job?
After completing his education, Mike Dilger travelled to the Ecuadorian Cloud Forest to study moths.
How did he become a TV presenter?
With years of researching tropical forests in Tanzania, Peru and Vietnam under his belt - where he contracted a dizzying array of diseases earning him his title - Mike began work in television presenting Channel 5’s 2000 documentary Britain's Wild Invaders.
