The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards celebrates the funny moments in wildlife watching and photography. This year's finalist images includes a seemingly-greedy puffin, a faceplanting baby elephant, and gossiping lions.
The category and overall winners will be announced in a virtual ceremony on 22 October 2020, with the top image winning an incredible one-week safari in the Masai Mara, Kenya as well as a unique handmade trophy from the Art Garage in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The judges of the competition are chair of the judges and competition director Tom Sullam, wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE, TV presenter Kate Humble, actor and comedian Hugh Dennis, wildlife photographer Will Burrard-Lucas, wildlife expert Will Travers OBE, online travel editor for The Telegraph Oliver Smith, photographer Simon Pollock, co-founder of Amazing Internet Andrew Skirrow, managing director of Affinity Photo developer Serif Ashley Hewson, head of picture desk for The Economist Celina Dunlop, and wildlife conservationist Bella Lack.
The People's Choice Award is open for the public to vote on their favourite image, which will be announced before the winners on 22 October.
