Ade Adepitan is a British-Nigerian TV presenter and wheelchair basketball player. He is also a Paralympic medalist and children's author. He was awarded an MBE for services to disability sport in 2005.

Ade has represented Great Britain in the Paralympics, competing in wheelchair basketball. He was part of the team that won the bronze medal at the Athens 2004 Summer Paralympics, and won the gold medal at the 2005 Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.

How did Ade Adepitan get into TV?

Ade presented the children's programme Xchange, and starred in the children's TV drama series Desperados (both on CBBC), which was about a wheelchair basketball team. In 2005, he starred in a reality TV series called Beyond Boundaries, which followed a team of adventurers with physical disabilities as they take on some of the toughest expeditions on Earth.

After this, he began making documentary films with Channel 4 and is now one of the main hosts of the channel's Paralympic Games coverage. He has also presented Invictus Games coverage and BBC Children In Need on the BBC. More recently, he has co-presented the wildlife documentary series Our Changing Planet with Liz Bonnin.
