Chelsea Connor

Chelsea Connor is a graduate student, tropical biologist, artist, and science communicator from the Commonwealth of Dominica. Inspired by the flora and fauna she grew up with, Chelsea has never doubted that she wanted to work with animals. She fell in love with anoles during her first research project back home and continued that love with her personal natural history project #DidYouAnole? on Twitter and popular anole science blog, Anole Annals. She also draws the animals that inspire her, and has recently been getting into wildlife and nature photography. In the summer of 2020, Chelsea helped co-founded the first ever #BlackBirdersWeek, a week highlighting Black naturalists and nature lovers, with an emphasis on birding.
