The Wildlife Photography Awards 2023: vote for your favourite Portraits image
Voting is now open for The Wildlife Photography Awards 2023 from BBC Wildlife magazine.
The judging panel shortlisted 10 amazing images for each of the five categories – Portraits, Behaviour, Plants and Fungi, Camera Phone and Environment – and it's now time to vote.

When picking their Portraits shortlist, judges were looking for striking poses that reveal the character of an animal (individual or group).

Vote for your favourite image in each category of The Wildlife Photography Awards 2023 below. The image with the most votes will be the category winner. The judging panel will then review the results of the public vote to select the overall winner, who will win a trip for two to Belize, worth £3,000.
Please note, there is one voting mechanic for all five categories, with the categories appearing in the following order: Environment, Plants and Fungi, Behaviour, Camera Phone, Portraits. You will need to make your selection for all five categories before you can submit your vote, so we recommend viewing all the category shortlist pages before confirming your choices.
When does voting for The Wildlife Photography Awards close?
The public can vote for their favourite shortlisted images from 12.00 on 16/10/2023 to 23:59 on 06/11/2023.
The entry with the highest number of votes for each category will be named the category winner.
Within 14 days of the public vote closing, the judging panel will select an overall winner from the five category winners. Please see full terms and conditions for details.

The prizes
The overall winner wins a trip to Belize for two people, worth £3,000.
